Principles

A few rules for work that compounds.

Working principles from a systems-oriented founder and builder.

Trace the history of an outcome

Do not read a system as a snapshot. Find the intervention, conditions, and mechanism that produced the change. Inspect the incentives, information flows, and feedback loops that sustain it. Then follow its effects over time before choosing the next intervention.

Preserve human judgment

Use automation to widen attention and reduce drudgery. Keep decisions that carry context, trust, or consequence close to accountable people.

Prefer evidence to performance

Name what you know, how you know it, and what remains uncertain. Strong claims need a clear trail.

Make the next action easier

A good insight changes behavior. It should help someone decide, build, ask, or test something with less confusion.

Build relationships through usefulness

Treat people as people. Be specific, timely, and generous. Optimize for trust, not extracted attention.

Keep learning visible

Write down what changed your mind. This is how individual observations become organizational memory.
